Watkins Gillick serves Of Counsel with the law firm of Neumiller & Beardslee. With over 12 years of practicing law, she has developed an expertise in the areas of municipal and public agency law, land use, and water law. Prior to joining Neumiller & Beardslee, Ms. Gillick served for four years as a Deputy County Counsel for San Joaquin County handling litigation, employee disciplinary matters, planning, code enforcement, environmental, and water matters.
In 1991, Ms. Gillick graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Political Science and a general business minor. In 1995, she earned her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, Ms. Gillick became a life member of the Traynor Honor Society and was on the Dean's Honor Roll. She was also an Honors at Entrance student and received Trial Advocacy Honors, as well as being the recipient of the Legal Education Endowment Fund and the McGeorge Academic Achievement Scholarships. In the Summer of 1992, she completed international legal studies under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Kennedy.
Ms. Gillick is a member of the San Joaquin County Bar Association as well as the State Bar of California. She formerly taught Real Property-Land Use as an Adjunct Professor at Humphreys School of Law in Stockton. Ms. Gillick was admitted to practice in California in 1995 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California.
