Neumiller & Beardslee is pleased to announce the addition of Katie R. O’Ferrall as an associate attorney and a member of the firm’s public agency, agriculture, and water departments. Ms. O’Ferrall will represent both public and private clients on transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters.
Ms. O’Ferrall joined the firm in 2016 after practicing water and municipal law in Sacramento. Prior to joining the firm, she gained experience working on large litigation and public agency matters, and now uses this background to assist clients with a variety of issues.
Ms. O’Ferrall earned her Juris Doctorate and a certificate in Environmental Law, from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Ms. O’Ferrall was a Board member of agricultural, environmental and water student organizations. She also served as the managing editor of Environs – the Environmental Law and Policy Journal and as a staff editor of the Business Law Journal while attending UC, Davis.
Prior to law school, Ms. O’Ferrall received her undergraduate degree from California State University, Chico where she graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture emphasizing in Education. While at Chico State, Ms. O’Ferrall was a member of the Livestock Judging Team and competed nationally. Ms. O’Ferrall also actively volunteered at livestock events supporting 4-H and FFA members with their projects. She continues to assist with seminars and other youth events.
Ms. O’Ferrall is admitted to practice in the State of California and is a member of the San Joaquin County Bar Association.
